THE Why’it’ TIGER

I am currently reading “The White Tiger” by Arvind Adiga. Yes, it adds up to my numerous attempts to understand Accolade Winning Novels. My previous attempts include – The God of Small Things (Arundhati Roy), The Argumentative Indian(Amartya Sen), etc. I have never managed to comprehend as to what really made these novels worth such euphemisms. It’s a long story. Will dedicate another post for that!

The read (The White Tiger) turned out to be not so bad an encounter! I was presently surprised to be breezing through some neat sarcastic writing. The book, though not that rib-tickling/extremely funny types, makes you laugh at simple incidents. Caustic but not for the sake of it. types The line where the protagonist Munna competes with an Olympic Runner to his to be master’s feet made me laugh out loud (actually). What I liked the most about the book? – I think sarcasm gels well with me. I kinda feel its my type.

I really find it a not put downable book! Thus, maybe I felt not put down by the book…heheheheh!! Really! the pages turn themselves. The psychological tale of the scarcely reverent Munna is interesting. The transformation to a corrupt, stone hearted driver who turns the table on the other driver is dark. Nevertheless, the enter story is depicted in a witty panache is enjoyable.

Anyways, friends i am yet to complete the book. The book actually got me writing about it. Should be good enough. huh?

Let me get back finishing it!

Musing for the Day – Hypomania means Minor Mania!!! Almost made me go Verbomaniac (looking out for words to describe the idiocy) Don’t you think so? Does not the name sound like it means the exact opposite?
