Trek to Raigad

The month of December has mostly been an eventful month for me. Apart from the fact that the month is lucky to host my birthday (i know, humble me!) and being winter which is my favorite time of the year, it always tends to package in some sort of holiday for me.

Last to last weekend I went on a trek to Raigad. Mind you the last trek I went to was at least 2 years back. However, the bigger challenge for me was not the 2.5 - 3 hrs trek or the fact that we had to climb 1600 steps to reach the Fort. It was adjusting with the new set of friends with whom I tagged along. These were my brother's office colleagues, none of whom I have met ever in my life. With me being amongst the youngest of the crowd (given the fact that most of them were older) I imagined it would not be easy to mingle within the group.

The trip however, turned out to be awesome! Right from the Golmaal movie which we saw before we boarded the bus to Raigad to the last night Dumb Charades competition, its was fun-filled experience. While none had any inhibitions when it came to interacting with each other freely. I must really compliment my brother for having such wonderful people in his team/office. Never felt out of place!

I even went to the extent of taking a smoke in front of my Big Bro which freaked him out. It did take me some convincing to do to him that I dont smoke but only when I am high or out with friends!

But above all, one of the highlights of the trip was the super simple ghar ka khaana which we had there. Simple people with simple diet really made me wonder as to why we desire so much, when we really can be happy with even lesser.

Will link the photos too for reference.

This coming week I am going to Bordi Beach with my Office colleagues.

So bye for now before I return with amother post.
